"In my work, there is an expression of the tranquility and timeless appeal sensed in the landscape around me. Inspired by the visions of tonalist painters, both contemporary and historical, I seek to move beyond the physical manifestation of reality and portray the emotion that naturally emanates from the rural landscape for me. The resulting painting is a journey into a deeper exploration of the spiritual connection I feel for my environment, where even the simplest of scenes becomes imbued with poetry and grace."
