David Olson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1943, he moved to New York City where he earned his B.F.A from Pratt Institute. He attended Boston University for graduate school and earned an M.F.A. Enjoying the weather, landscape and history in New England, he decided to live in New Hampshire where he resides today. His etchings reflect his experiences, his son's passion for crew resulted in his piece of a crew shell. While his other son's summer spent learning to sail, brought a sailboat series. Olson's work has been exhibited across the United States as well as Europe, Australia and Japan. He enjoys the friends and acquaintances that have resulted from his work and enjoys discussing his work with those who are interested.
