Reagan, a watercolorist who paints outdoors whenever possible, is all about sunshine and light.
"I started the collage making as a way to recycle a lot of old water colors. The idea of discarding these watercolors seemed wasteful. I decided to utilize them by tearing and cutting the paper into shapes. The torn pieces are used to make organic shapes such as trees and flowers. The cut shapes are used to make architectural shapes such as houses, bridges and buildings. I referenced my photo file for subject matter from travel destinations. The assembleage of shapes are then glued onto a masonite board. The end result is a unique, whimsical and animated work of art. The edges of these shapes create mini-shadowed edges giving each piece a unique dimensional quality."
